Artboard 1

My 8-year-old has always been hesitant to read, but since joining reading club, he's become genuinely excited about it.

Artboard 1

The improvement has been noticeable — even his teacher has commented on how much more confident and capable he's become.

Artboard 1

He looks forward to every session and thrives under Sarah's gentle guidance and encouragement.

My child has found out about some great books and enjoyed some giggles with other kids online and learned to express his opinions about what he's reading.

WHAT THIS IS

These small-group online reading sessions meet children exactly where they are — whether they already love books or are still finding their way into reading.

Every session is calm, inclusive, and focused on one thing: helping your child enjoy reading.

Children read high-interest books together and take part in relaxed, guided discussions about characters, events, and ideas. There is no pressure to participate in a particular way.

Students can read aloud, listen and follow along, share their thoughts in the chat, or simply be present. All are welcomed.

Sessions run live via Zoom — from the comfort of home.

MEET SARAH

Hi, I'm Sarah Hodgson — a qualified teacher librarian with a Bachelor of Education (Hons), Master of Education, and Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship).

I've spent years supporting children of all abilities to discover that reading can be enjoyable, engaging, and confidence-building. I personally read and select every book used in these groups and draw on proven classroom strategies to ensure every child feels included.

My goal is simple: to help your child fall in love with reading.

"It is a lovely opportunity to enjoy books and reading with Sarah who is very encouraging and thoughtful in the way that she prompts the kids to engage with the story and share their reflections as they go. There is no pressure to read out loud. Listening and following along is also ok."
