The main aim of these sessions is to develop a genuine love of reading.

We focus on enjoyment, confidence, connection, and understanding — not worksheets, tests, or pressure.

No problem. While payments are non-refundable, I maintain a weekly reading tracker so your child always knows exactly where the group is up to. They can easily catch up and rejoin the next session.

Students can participate in whatever way feels right for them — listening, reading aloud, sharing ideas, or typing in the chat.

There is no pressure. Every child is supported at their own pace.

All sessions are held live via Zoom. You'll receive a Zoom link before the first session.

No. Session times are fixed for each group to maintain consistency. Please choose the time that works best for your family's schedule.

My reading groups are organised by broad stages of schooling rather than strict ages:

• Lower Primary – usually Years 1–2
• Middle Primary – usually Years 3–4
• Upper Primary – usually Years 5–6
• High School – usually Years 7–9

These year levels are only a guide. I deliberately don't label groups by age because every child develops differently, and sometimes they may feel more confident, challenged, or supported in a different group than the one that matches their year level.

Part of developing a love of reading is experiencing different genres, authors, and styles. I carefully select high-interest books that have been popular with students in the past. Often, children discover they enjoy books they wouldn't have chosen themselves! However, the focus is always on discussion and connection, not just the book itself.

You'll need:

• A device with internet connection (computer, tablet, or smartphone)
• Zoom app installed (free download)
• A camera and microphone
• A quiet space for your child to participate

Siblings can join if they're in the same age/reading level group. However, each child requires a separate enrolment and payment as spots are limited to 10 students per session.

I'm trained to differentiate instruction and support students at varying levels—just like in a classroom. Advanced readers can be extended with deeper discussion questions, while students who need more support receive it without feeling singled out.

I'm an experienced educator trained to support diverse learners. I use the same inclusive strategies I would in a classroom to ensure every child feels valued and can participate meaningfully. If your child has specific needs, please let me know during registration so I can best support them.

If Sarah is ever unavailable, the session will still run as planned. A qualified relief teacher, personally selected by Sarah, will take the session so your child doesn’t miss out. All relief teachers share the same warm, encouraging approach and values, ensuring consistency and a positive experience for students.

If a relief teacher is unavailable, a make-up session, credit toward the next term, or a refund will be offered.

If there are spaces available in the group, your child is very welcome to join after the term has started. There is no disadvantage to joining partway through the term.

You’ll only be charged for the weeks your child is enrolled. Your child can read up to where the group is, or the group will naturally help them catch up through discussion.
